Clear Kidneys vs. Uriflow

Rock'em Sock'em Robots

Clear Kidney versus Uriflow…who will win?

When it comes to over-the-counter kidney stone remedies, Uriflow is one of the oldest.  It has been around since at least 2006 and has proven to be a fairly popular product. It has many distribution channels and can be purchased from numerous websites, including eBay and Amazon.  So how well does it compare to Clear Kidneys?

Being the young upstarts that we are, I am going to pit our product, Clear Kidneys™ against Uriflow to see who wins.

Round 1: Capsule Size

This one is easy. Uriflow comes in size ‘0’ capsules, which are the most common size for nutritional supplements. Clear Kidneys comes in a smaller, easy to swallow size ‘1’ capsule. (size 1 is smaller than size 0).

Advantage: Clear Kidneys

Round 2: Quality

Clear Kidneys is made from the finest Phyllanthus niruri extract, free from heavy metals, pesticides, and other contaminants. Our manufacturing abides by the FDA’s cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices) guidelines.  Although I cannot verify it, I am fairly certain that Uriflow is made from quality ingredients as well, though there is little transparency into their product or company. They claim GMP as well.

Advantage: Even

Round 3: Number of Active Ingredients

Clear Kidneys: 1 ingredient, 325 mg
Uriflow: 9 ingredients, plus fillers, 500 mg

Are more ingredients better? In my opinion, no they are not.  I am sure there is a temptation to take common natural remedies, combine them and sell them.  The concern I have is consumer safety.

  • Has this combination of herbs and asphalt, as prepared for sale, been tested in a clinical trial or scientific study?
  • Have the combined ingredients been evaluated for possible interactions?
Bitumen, aka Asphaltum

This is one of the ingredients in Uriflow. Weird.

If the answer is ‘no’ for either of those questions, then I believe the product should even be considered.

As a consumer advocate, I am highly concerned that they are selling a product and letting their customers to test it for them. I expect this kind of behavior from software companies, not from a company selling health products. This is the human body we’re talking about, not software.

Clear Kidneys is small, simple, and effective.  325 mg = 3.25 grams of Phyllanthus niruri.

Advantage: Clear Kidneys

Round 4: Effectiveness

Personally, I know that Clear Kidneys works for me. The clinical results, the data, and user testimonials support this claim.

Does Uriflow work? According to user reviews, Uriflow works for some people, but is ineffective for others.  We’ll call this one a draw.

Advantage: Even

Round 5: Safety, side effects

Clear Kidneys is triple tested for purity during and after manufacture. Its active ingredient, Phyllanthus niruri, has been shown to be safe for nearly all populations, with no side effects. Here is a list of potential side effects, contra-indications, and drug interactions:

Potential Side EffectsContra-indicationsDrug Interactions
  • No side effects

Should not be taken by people who are:

  • Children

  • Nursing

  • Pregnant or may become pregnant

Can be taken with caution:

  • Diabetics actively managing blood sugar levels, due to mild hypoglycemic effect

  • People taking beta-blocker drugs, due to mild hypotensive effect

Consult with a doctor before taking with these drugs:

  • Beta-blockers

Aside from the groups listed in the table, Phyllanthus niruri has proven to be an extremely safe herb, even in excessively high doses.

Uriflow’s many ingredients, according to WebMD, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and other leading health sites, have the following potential side effects, contra-indications, and drug interactions:

Potential Side EffectsContra-indicationsDrug Interactions
  • Acute pain of urinary tracts

  • Agitation

The makers of Uriflow do not provide any of this information. At Hot Sun Labs, we tell people up front who should and who should not take Clear Kidneys.

Advantage: Clear Kidneys

Round 6: Values

Our values here at Hot Sun Labs extends to every product we produce, including Clear Kidneys:

  • To improve the health and well-being of our customers through all-natural, clinically proven supplements and education on healthy living;
  • To deliver the safest, highest quality products to our customers at the best value possible;
  • To conduct business in an ethical, fiscally responsible, and environmentally conscious manner.

Uriflow’s values are nowhere to be found.  Here are the problems:

  • Their product is sold on places like Amazon and eBay, but the company, Bioneutrix Healthcare, is nowhere to be found.
  • Their website offers very little information about their product, ingredients, and safety.
  • They use the FDA logo on their site, using the words “FDA Registered”. The only thing registered with the FDA is a violation of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act regarding their past marketing methods: FDA Regulatory Notice for Uriflow Violation

From a consumer perspective, this product has red flags all over it.

Advantage: Clear Kidneys

Round 7: Guarantee

Uriflow offers a 365-day guarantee, whereas Clear Kidneys offers a 90-day money back guarantee. However, there is no return policy stated on the Uriflow website and no instructions for returns.  Their phone number goes to voicemail. There is an advantage to the Clear Kidneys’ policies, in that our policies are clearly stated and our hours for customer service are listed everywhere.  I’ll call this one even.

Advantage: Even

Round 8: Cost

I saved the best for last. Clear Kidneys beats Uriflow every which way, when it comes to cost:

# of bottlesClear KidneysUriflow
1$34.97$59.99
2$59.97$119.98
3$69.97$119.98

Besides the cost difference, Clear Kidneys offers bonus travel packs for orders of 2 and 3 bottles, and we regularly feature discount coupons.

Advantage: Clear Kidneys
